La historia trata de un niño que acompaña a sus padres a hacer una investigación al ártico. Por desgracia el niño se queda atrapado en un iceberg a la deriva hasta que llega a una isla tropical. En la isla conocerá a distintos personajes como una sirena, un anciano delfín, una especie de loro, unos bichos que cuando llovía corrían con la boca abierta para beber el agua de lluvia y la razón por la que la serie se llame como se llama, Biniki, un ser rosa mitad plesiosaurio mitad pez. Tendrán que defender esta isla virgen de un malvado pirata
