During a patrol, Coppola and his new driving partner, Persico, notice an abandoned car in front of a dilapidated building. Suspicious, the two police officers enter the building and find the body of a girl. The terrifying silence is broken by the rapid sound of footsteps. Federico tries to understand where they are coming from, but the killer, careful not to be seen, seriously wounds him and disappears into the darkness. The case involves the entire police station, shaken by the critical condition of the young officer. After the large cocaine seizure, the drug dealing squares of Spaccanapoli are empty.
